Lucky Star 20

Been a long time since my first post on Lucky Star, I don’t know why, but I never feel compelled to write on it. It’s more of a silent obsession for me, though I’m anything but silent about it in conversations… Oh well, after a long wait (for momo) here’s my review on Lucky Star, episode 20.

Upon watching a few minutes of LS20 before I started my post on it, the answer quickly came to me, on why I don’t post on it. Because you can basically take my last post and apply it to every episode they’ve done ;_; Lucky Star isn’t an anime where new plot twists and character development happens in every episode, its mostly doing the same thing, but in new ways. Kinda like Sesame Street, it doesn’t matter what monsters are on today’s episode, you know you’re going to end up learning how to count. With Lucky Star, it doesn’t matter which of the girls are on the screen, you know they’re going to have a pointless conversation… but hey, I’m not complaining.

Maybe well learn how to count is LS as well...?

Since my last review we’ve had a few new members join the moe-gang. Seems the moe population in Japan is 9/10, every main character is insanely cute, ‘cept that exchange student, she reminds me too much of that goat-girl from Dokuro-chan, makes me scared. We got the two girls from Kagamis class (the brunette has the cutest voice in LS, apart from Konata), the doujin drawer and exchange student/cosplay café waitress in Yutakas class. As the gang gets bigger, it gets weirder. Judging from the OP, there shouldn’t be any more new characters, but that’s enough characters for me, unless they had plans for making a nudist character, I’m happy with all the cute girls we have right now.

And of course, more Shiraishi brilliance; this time with a slightly scary cheerleader cross-dressing, singing about Churches and Bridgeroom Rumbas. This man deserves his own show or at least a duet with Hirano Aya, Id kill for that. Shiraishi would write the words and do all the choreography and Hirano Aya would just sing and look pretty.

I won’t try and guess what the next post will be on, since I really have no clue. Maybe Persona 3 from me or Bioshock from Miku. We’ll see, but till then I wish you all a merry hamster-killing-day.
